All four of us are dedicated to insuring that Wheelchair Getaways of Illinois provides superior service to our customers. Sue is a native of the Chicago area and runs the daily operations of the business. Sue has a rich business background, and prior to Wheelchair Getaways, she was an administrator for a network of 11 physical therapy clinics in the Chicago area. Chris, Ron, and David all lived in the Chicago area during the 1980s and 1990s. Today, all three live in Phoenix, Arizona and are partners in Three Rivers, a company that makes innovative products for people with disabilities. Three Rivers is dedicated to using advances in rehabilitation technology to create products that enhance the mobility and independence of people with disabilities. In recognition of the value of their products, Three Rivers has been the recipient of multiple grant awards for Small Business Innovation Research from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Three Rivers’ most recent product introduction is the Natural-Fit™ Handrim (see below), an ergonomic wheelchair handrim that maximizes comfort during propulsion and braking.
